“My Honda CBR600FY (F4) is my first bike for 18 years plus. I wanted something realiable, not too much money and something suitable for commuting and fun at the weekends. I think I got the balance right with this bike. Although its 14 years old, its done 14,600 miles, its just gone through its MOT with no advisories, it had new Tyres (Bridgestone Battlax front and rear) and new chain and sprockets when I purchased it, and its in the great colour scheme, Yellow and Black. I'm very pleased with my Bike and looking forward to some great rides in the summer.”
“Love the bike as it's my first "big bike". It's an older model which needs a little TLC and lacks a bit of acceleration when riding with friends on newer models.”
“best road bike ive had
keep thinking of upgrading to a fireblade but they are more focused to ride
the 600 is just so forgiving if you make a mistake
if you speak to anyone they all say the same
THE BEST BIKE TO RIDE.”
“Fantastic bike! It keeps up with all my mates bikes and returns almost 200 mpg. Really smooth and very easy to ride fast. If I had to criticise anything it would be the mid range power, this isn't a problem though as you just drop down a gear or 2. The brakes I think may not feel as good as some more modern bikes but they stop you very quickly. I wish there was a clock and a fuel gauge, other than that it's an awesome, fun, economical, fast bike. Love it .”
“The best bike I ever had.
MOST PEOPLE SAY THIS IS THE BEST CBR MODEL EVER MADED.
I THINK IS TRYE.
Think I will keep this bike for life and will never sell it.”
“The CBR 600 FX is an excellent all-round bike. It has a strong, flexible and reliable engine. Comfortable for as long as the tank lasts - 150 miles plus.
Not cutting edge by todays standards but still capable of good handling and performance.
Recommended.”
“Excellent introduction to 'big bikes' 100+HP means that is quick enough by modern standards but still simple enough for the home mechanic to safely maintain without the worry of big bills from the 'Stealership'! Most have a high number of owners due to the 'first big bike' syndrome so a comprehensive service history is essential. Cheap to buy, cheap to run and easy to ride...whats not to like?! Most are Typically around the 30k miles mark now and well cared for examples will easily reach 60k with little or no major repair outlay. Look for signs of accident damage as the price bracket puts them in the reach of track day enthusiasts but with a good, low mileage example going for sub £1800, you can forgive the odd scratch on the fairing etc.”
