If you want a super sport that can do everything... commute, track, touring, just a quick blast... this is surely the bike that will put a smile on your face. I can say it is definitely the middleweight king, more comfortable than R6, more reliable than a Zxr-6 ninja and a Daytona, and a bit more sane in throttle response than a GSXR. The MotoGP inspired tail exhausts is also a wild factor! The down side about this bike. It's tough to improve on something that was built to perfection to begin with, hence honda hasn't done much to it since 2007. Not much has improved other than tweaking engine mapping, suspension, engine intake and the complicated C-ABS that's about it. Which is also a good thing, nearly 85% of the bike uses the same part as previous models. Colour options there are only 3... One thing which potential buyer should know about, no dealers will ever tell you. Replacing brake fluid on the C-ABS model is stupidly expensive. Unlike normal ABS, the Honda system has front and rear brake linked... only Honda authorised dealers can touch them and it cost £350-£380 (5 hours job). Minor service around £180, major service around £370-£400. For your 16,000 miles service, it will set you back £700 (major service + brake fluid change)

bike is not good for the first bike because it does not show what speed level you use. This is only thing.

Great bike for first big bike or first super bike, it was my first bike and has been very forgiving. Only go for a super bike if your confident as they sure do have the power to scare you if your a newbie. The abs version gives you a further peace of mind and helps correct you if you approach a corner too fast. All in all I wouldn't have wanted another bike for my first big bike! Great bike.

Easy to ride and surprisingly comfortable for a super sport bike. Very quick too. Would recommend to anyone looking for a fast easy to ride bike

Great bike with good performance mine is a2010 and had 1400 miles on it. I've added 2000 to that and they have all been great. The bikes ability and mine are poles apart and I doubt I would ever get the absolute best out of it. That has not stopped me now considering a Fireblade. Highly recommend it's great.
