“I'm really enjoying my CBR600FA, it was my first choice after test riding many bikes when I decided to get back into biking. It has got enough power to make every ride enjoyable without being overly dangerous after my long break from being in the saddle. I would recommend it as a commuter, tourer, or just a fun bike for when you fancy a quick flit along some nice roads. I’ve decided to keep this one instead of trading it in, and then just buy something else when the finance is paid off. Sadly this model has now changed into the CBR650F which I can confirm after a test ride is a completely different bike, not that it wasn’t nice in itself.”
“Excellent bike, not the fastest compared to sports 600 but fast enough depending on how u cane it and it sure loves to be caned. Riding position is neutral as I do a lot of town riding, filtering through traffic is quite easy. Handling is good even on standard setting( I haven't adjusted anything as I just don't know how lol ) , I easy scrub the edges of the tyres and it feels very stable in the corners, on bt20.
I replaced the chain once but it doesn't seem to last, no faulty of the bike but maybe it's due to the fact that the bike has a problem with the front wheel as it doesn't like to stay down , I keep seeing the speedo in my face reading up to 60mph before I see the road again. Maybe I should stand up.
Only little niggle about the bike is the black triangle brackets that hold the foot pegs. The paint wears off as it's rubbed against my boots or shoes.
One other thing, the rear brake could do with a bit more feeling.
Tank ranges about 130-140 mile, then again it gets a good caning when's it's warmed up and bleeps of the throttle with down shifts and through traffic to warn cars.
All in all, excellent bike that does it all.
Had a great deal from Gratham Honda, they gave a brand new rear tyre, it had a tail tidy, hugged and seat cowl aswell, plus a service and delivery to London so many thanks .
