“Good modern day classic bike , some call the maggot , all things considered the bike was way ahead of any one else being a 'v' twin and shaft drive , i have been fortunate that i have picked up a good untouched original classic with only 26k on the clock since buying it i have to day been offered more than i payed for it but not for sale , ever where i go with it it turns heads , this bike is just a summer bike only .”
“For a 38 year old bike the cx500 in my opinion is awesome. Stops in a breath , starts every time and given its a cafe racer it's as fast as most other bikes on the road only this one gets the looks and has a sound that new bikes don't have. Easy to maintain no complicated parts or computers to worry about , I love it”
“I have owned this bike from new in 1978 and it is still going strong. It's a bit top heavy and the brakes are not up to modern standards but the handling is good with the right tyres fitted. Comfort is marginal and the seat is high but the mechanics are very reliable with only one failure when the cam chain tensioner broke. The bike still got me home though.”
“apart from a few teething problem, I love this bike! It's the first bike I've owned (midlife crisis!) It's a bit rough round the edges, it is 35 yrs old! But, I like old things with plenty of character! And, with a bit of T.L.C it will look wonderful and, hopefully do me for many more years! Adventure before Dementia!!!”
