“For touring it can't be beaten. Comfortable, reliable, economical ( avg: 50 mpg), handles surprisingly well for for such a behemoth. I just did a 4000 mile trip around Europe ( including going over the Alps) with the wife and all our luggage, bike didn't miss a beat, and handled everything we asked of it..”
“For a 24yr old bike with 80k miles, it looks a million dollars and rides like a magic carpet. Big heavy lump of a machine when stationary but beutifully balanced low down weight makes it a dream to ride as soon as you get moving. Does take a while to get used to its size and weight but it's so comfortable with a armchair ride and great allround vision. You'll just want to sit and enjoy cruising along seeing the countryside and the whole road in front of you. If you do need a turn of speed, that big flat6 has so much torque , twist the go button and it will chuck you back into the upholstery and you'll be surprised just how rapid it can be with such a wonderful sound that can only be compared to a porche on steiroids.
It's not a sports bike, it's not a sports tourer, it's not even an ordinary tourer, what it is is a super tourer, Rolls Royce of a bike for Reliant Robin money.
Before you buy one read everything you can about them, look at a few forums and know what to look for and what your buying. The goldwing fraternity on the forums and clubs etc is great and is like joining a huge family and friends from all walks with one comon denominator, the goldwing brand.”
