“The Honda NC750SA is one of the most under rated bikes, as with so many Hondas it just does everything well. It maybe looked upon as a humble commuter but it will munch the miles as well as the Suzuki 1250 Bandit and BMW F800ST I've had previously. Like the BM it carries its fuel where it should be, low down, which make the centre of gravity lower than other bikes. This means it can be thrown around like a much smaller bike on the twisties. Thus you don't have to be reving the guts out of it to have fun. The storage compartment where other bikes have the tank is ideal for carrying bottles of beer, they don't get shaken up, and allsorts of everything. Add to this fantastic fuel consumption, 8000 mile service intervals, Honda's 0% finance and it has to be the best value bike on the market. It could of course be better, the front disc is adequate but twin disc would be better and the suspension is basic. Honda have improved the suspension on the latest version. I would also have liked Honda to copy the BM more by having belt drive but the chain hardly needs any adjustment and should therefore last. Similarly the filler cap under the pillion seat is not as convenient as the side panel mounted cap of the BM. In nearly 50 years of biking I've had bikes that gave me more of an adrenalin rush but none that were better at all round biking.”
“I commute 70 miles per day , averaging between 67-74 mpg,
went on a weekend tour with friends to the lake district handled all the small country lanes, had no problem with infamous Hardknott pass and cruised effortlessly on the motorway return.
The heated grips were a welcomed bonus as I used the bike all through the winter,”
