I have been unlucky. The day after I bought it (used) the throttle cable broke! Fixed ok. MoT failed - rear shock lower mounting. Nightmare job but I did it! Came off bike at very low speed???? No bike damage but hurt leg and couldnt ride for a year!!! :( This ultimately caused carb problems which took me a whole year to sort mainly cos of a job and home relocation. Seems the unforseen year off the road and my lazy-ass stupidity caused the carb problems as I had left the fuel in the system. Lesson learnt!Long story short, I eventually removed and cleaned carbs, refitted and balanced. Replaced fuel pump contacts and installed diode mod for good measure :) All running ok....but now the weather has turned! So, I blame the previous owner's lack of maintenance for the problems but myself for the carbs lacquering up. As for on the road, I find the bike vibrates a lot, through the pegs and the grips and the seat! Not a quick bike but easily maintains 70-90mph on longer runs and was quite frugal on the fuel......

Wish Honda would make an updated model with maybe a 800cc engine.

dont use bike as often as i should or could, but fires up ok and runs well. Bad bits... Somewhat cumbersome for short (through town) trips, heavy and slow to manouvre into parking places. Panniers and top box not much good for touring or even weekend away. Petrol consumption not brilliant and NO petrol Gauge. I do 150-165 then top up. Good bits Very comfortable when cruising on main roads up to the speed limit even when riding for a good 3 hours. Panniers and Top Box good for day trip and bits of shopping Reliable shaft drive Relatively inexpensive to repair and maintain.

I bought my bike in April 2015 and apart from having to change the fuel pump (which apparently is a common thing with these bikes), there hasn't been a lot go wrong. My bike is 14 years old now and in very good condition. I ride it to work 40 miles five days a week and it is very reliable. I would highly recommend it.
