“This is a 17 year old machine, so the odd gremlins is to be expected. However she is more than capable of touring from one end of the UK to the other. Carrying two people and their sundries for long distances is the Pans main design. The original equipment is still up to the task, as for performance fuel tank holds 27 litres giving a range of around 225/250 before reserve light comes on. You can cruise at the legal speed limit with plenty in reserve for quick and safe overtaking. Handle is responsive and brakes with ABS/TCS help maintain a safe and progressive ride.
Fairing keeps the weather at bay,in even the most ardent conditions. Heated grips ensure fingers and hands dont get frozen and stiff.”
“Once on the move it is a great bike to ride with plenty of power and a nice riding position.
Engine is very smooth and the gearbox is superb. On the negative side when parking or manouvering especially going backwards the bike is so heavy it can become impossible to get it where you want it.”
“I have had Pans for nearly 20 years and just love them. Solid, reliable, comfortable, and with reasonable ride and handling - what's not to like. OK, they're a bit on the heavy side, but on balance they tick a lot of boxes.”
“I love my bike. Very reliable and economic to run. Using every day for commuting and sometime for longer journey. Plenty of power even with low revs. The bike is very heavy, but when hit the road, easy to handle.”
“A large heavy bike but on the road handles nimbly with great smooth power and comfort. The luggage system and fairing is efficient, I think pretty but then perhaps I'm just getting old!”
