I think the powertrain on the bike is excellent however the seat is the most uncomfortable one on any honda I have owned out of 6. The panniers are not good enough for an adventure router when compared to a HE. Nice bike needs sorting. C'mon Honda.8

I have owned bikes for 40 years and this x tourer is the best built of them all.

Hefty price tag, there is probably better for the money, but it is a reliable Honda.... It is by far the most viciously fuel hungry bike i have ever owned in my 30 years of riding. This thing is even harder than my old old 2 strokes from the 80's. The electronic traction always takes over exactly when the fun is about to begin, and you can never really turn it off. The steering is a stretch and this is extremely evident on long runs, and I'm 6' tall. The dct gearbox in drive mode, although fast and awesomely smooth changing up, is nothing short of awful going back down. The engine almost stalls before it would think of changing to a lower cog, and in slow traffic 1st does'nt let go on the clutch until the bike dives from the hard braking needed to disengage the drive..... On a plus note, the bike in sport mode can pretty much outrun anything from the traffic lights, providing the traction does'nt kick and shut almost all the power off. The heated grips could have more heat, and a seat pad would have been nice. The front of the engine has little or no protection from road crud being flung up from of the front wheel, and the back of my wife's helmet and jacket always gets completely splattered from wet roads. Ad lastly , if anyone has found a way to clean the spoked wheels effectly in less than 15 mins a rim, please let me know how.Sponges shred, skinny brushes are fiddly and untra time consuming, and a jetwash just does'nt cut it .....

I took my crosstourer back to Honda I was so dissapointed. I traded it for a new VFR800 interceptor. Handles very well better on fuel and better looking
