It is a great bike, easy and fun to ride. Heated grips and hand guards keep your fingers warm in winter, the suspension easily absorbs the potholes, and the seat is as comfy as an armchair... and on top of all that, the grunt that comes out of the engine really makes it sound gritty like a dirtbike. The major downside is the weight; it is a heavy bike. You don't notice it whilst riding, but manoeuvring it manually can be a bit labour intensive.

wanted a reliable all rounder that could commute, tour and still be decent to ride. It is a jack of all trades bike that doesn't excell at anything but does it all well. It's a doddle to ride so great first big bike. Overall after few thousand miles I'm a happy bunny ;)

Bought in December 2010 new at £7.5k it wasn't a cheap purchase but one that has paid back in enjoyment well in excess of that figure...if one could put £'s to pleasure. The Bike has been faultless from the very start and averaging about 140 to 190 miles per tank of fuel depending on how spirited one is with the throttle it has returned pretty good economy from it's 17ltr tank.. Quality and fit have finish has been good although a tag has broken off one of the side panels and has had to be slightly bodged with some hi-strength velcro. I'm a bit nerdy about cleaning the bike and I use a TFR rather aggressive cleaner which has dried the bearings out a bit so beware of using a similar substance yourself... Servicing has been all main dealer which is expensive but gives you peace of mind and this thinking hopefully should transfer to it's next owner should I ever feel the need to sell it. Handling is superb at low and high speed and vibration is minimal even at high revs although it's never going to pull your arms off I feel the power is sufficient for me at this stage although I do sometimes want a little more top end speed... It's at it's happiest at 70-80mph and if you wring it's neck then you will break the ton quite easily but it's not fun and although it doesn't complain you can tell it's not a happy bunny at it's maximum... Values seem to hold up well 2nd Hand although you will take a kick in the pants if you bought new... All in all a great bike and well worth the investment if your looking for a reliable bike with a bit of punch when needed.

A good all rounder not fast but not slow, abs is reassuring although I have never had to use it .The v twin engine has a lovely feel ,50mpg is ok the exhaust note on closed throttle is lovely, its a great bike for an inexperienced rider and an experienced rider alike . It could be better looking at the front . If you want a good value reliable adventure bike take a look.
