“great little 125 to learn on, which is what I bought it for. Strong engine that seems to like being revved quite hard. Struggled a bit on hills but then I am over 15 stones (97kg)! Well balanced bike very suited to taller riders 5' 9" and over if you expect to put both feet flat on the floor when stationary. Very reliable and fairly frugal. I bought a low mileage 2008 XR from a dealer late 2014 on advice from a motorbike training centre. Having never ridden before I found it easy to manage and drove about 50 miles before going for CBT, I passed comfortably. Whilst I would like to say it was down to m y ability In honesty I must say it was down to this bike being so easy to get on with. I have just sold it privately for £200 more than I paid so definitely a value for money route into learning to ride. Great little bike. Recommended.”
