Iv owned this bike for 11 years and in that time have put 74 thousandth miles on it thats a total mileage of over 80 thou clocked. I l love this bike very reliable great looking. probably the best bike i have ever owned and thats out of 20 odd bikes in 41 years of riding i would recommend it to any body who likes the style and is not a speed freak. its just a shame they dont make it any more.

The bike is not great at centre lining through traffic as the tyres tend to skip of lane markings, they are somewhat narrow compared to some bikes. Being 6 feet tall I find the bike comfortable and relatively easy to service. The fact that it has a kick start as well as a starter motor was a deal breaker. It may not be that fast compared to other bikes of similar capacity but with its retro style and comfort , it turns heads and is a fun bike to ride.

Fantastic bike especially if you like sixties brit bikes but don't want all the tinkering it feels a lot more authentic than a hinkly bonnie which i also owned for 7 years . this bike has done 59 thousand miles and iv ridden it 51 of that right through the year in all weather for 8 years it has only had 1 breakdown that was a regulator / rectifier failure. I love this bike and will keep it till it dies then probably rebuild it.

I feel that the W650 is one of, if not the, best retro style bikes around. It is certainly one of the best looking and the fuel consumption verges on the unbelievable with 70mpg attainable with ease and in excess of 80mpg if treated gently! Mine is a 2005 bike which I purchased about 4 years ago and has only needed normal maintenance so far in it's 13,000 miles. General performance, handling, braking etc are very good for this style of bike although it is obviously not in the race rep league, but thats not what its for. All in all very happy with the bike, prefer it to the W800 (the W650 even has a kick start - how retro is that?) and hope to keep it for many years yet.
