“I have had this bike from new, bought in November2002,never been any trouble, goes like the wind and thrilling with it,has the Kawasaki roar,I have covered19000 miles Inc two country wide tours fully loaded, riding position is not too radical.
Down side it is a bit heavy by today's standards, and the leg length is important needs to be over30 to feel really secure when manoeuvring slowly other than that incredible

“Have had bikes of all types since I was 16 in 1957.
I bought this bike new in 2002 and would have normally changed it for a later model but have found that it is still everything I need from a bike so have kept it.
Cannot see any reason to change it. (The longest I have ever kept a bike)”
“Great bike for the money, my friend has the ZZR1400 and generally speaking I never find I'm playing catch up. Smooth and silky, effortless power in abundance, reasonable and predictable handling, decent comfort (I'm 6ft 2) (I hear that could be improved more with bar risers). Was originally quoted to be an 'ugly' bike with 'mickey mouse' headlamps, but I think the bike has elegant presence and the headlamps are really good!
I would struggle to find something comparable for anything near the same money as it does everything so well. It's been totally reliable in the 2 years and 8000 miles I've had it.”
“Looking for a sports bike or a tourer. This bike is the very best of both. Comfortable on a long run but wind her up and you can throw her around. Sweet Engine with bullet proof reliability. Pull her out of the garage after the winter lay off and fire up first time. Just Brilliant all round and good looking to boot.”
