“I love the sports tourer class of bike and also own an old blackbird. If I was being honest, in terms of build quality and display layout, I think Hondas are superior but I do have to say that my ZZR1400 is excellent.
The bike is a joy to ride feeling well balanced (straight line and on bends) and comfortable. Pointless commenting on performance - look at the 0-60 numbers and just believe them ..... experiencing them first hand is a great feeling.
I don't like the extremely short service intervals.”
“By far the most enjoyable mile muncher around. This is my second gen1 1400, it is all the bike you will ever need. It is an amazing tourer and a very capable sports bike.
The engine is both fantastic and terrifying, the handling out the crate is not the best but after a trip to MCT in suffolk from Glasgow it took on a whole different persona and felt like it had lost 50lb and was so much more flickable in the twisties that even your out and out 1ltr sports bikes find it hard to keep up the pace.
It is a beast that wont be tamed but you dont have to fear as it is very concise and predictable.
Would I change it? Only for another one as this is all the bike you will ever need.”
