“Very pleased with my Griso 1100. Impressed with the quality of the paintwork - deep glossy finish, characterful engine, and was surprised at how easy it is to engage 1st gear, having read that this can be a bit clunky, but I found the gearbox very good. It is not as rapid as some of my other bikes, but then it is not intended to be a racer, but has plenty of grunt, style and Italian charm. Also, I was expecting to have to lower the footpegs as I am 6'1'' and I had read that many owners find them a bit too high. Maybe it is because I am used to sports bikes, but I found the riding position very comfy and with easy to reach wide bars. Only bad point I have found was the little add on windscreen on mine was not good enough to avoid wind blast which made riding an open helmet an eye watering experience, as the wind was directed straight into my face. This was no problem with a full face helmet though. Very happy that I chose the robust 1100 engine, and avoided the 1200 4v engine which has cam wear issues on pre 2013 models resulting in expensive repairs likely if not certain. 1100 is bulletproof with no such issues.”
“I really love my Griso ,we've been together almost 10 years .I'm sure it's not for everyone. It's a heavy beast ,it's a bit snatchie, the clutch is quite heavy , it's had a few electrical gremlins ( speedo used to stop working in the rain , hopefully sorted now ) ,it has had a couple of unfortunately timed oil leaks ( started to seap oil badly on a trip to Assen. Sorted by a unbelievably helpful Guzzi dealer ) on the same trip broke down completely 20 miles from home , dealer unhelpfully informed me it was due to a 20pence part. Sometimes very frustrating but you put up with it because it's such a characterful beauty .”
“Absolutely love the classy Italian looks, the gorgeous rumbling engine, an absolute joy to ride and great with two up two... can't recommend enough.....only a shame it doesn't come with spoke wheels but otherwise a fantastic machine.”
