“The original 2005 DL-650 is an awesome machine for long-term ownership. Better equipped than the current (2015) model and in practice more usable than the heavier 1000 model. Very reliable and a serious long-distance bike. For serious mileage, it does need after-market upgrading in terms of front suspension and brakes and the saddle at least - but fully justifies the expense. A massively under-rated bike and one that really gets into your soul.”
