Great all round supermoto. Built like a tank, easy to work on. Low maintenance. Cheap parts. Top bike.

a good all rounder. fun for short journeys and commuting. i wouldn't recommend one for longer motorway journeys unless you make a few changes to the bike. mine has been reliable even after 7 years, 2 of which it was in storage but ran perfect on its first journey back out

The DRZ would be the perfect bike ever if it was fuel injected. The f..king carburetor is the only thing that let it down with its irregular functioning being subject to the weather, quality of the fuel and etc.. Despite this only defect (in my opinion) the bike is just wonderful. The bike is not heavy... the suspensions are AWESOME, the brakes are incredible and the stability is immense. If it had a fuel injection it would be the perfect bike EVER. Since it does not, and I am fed up with the carburetor, I am switching for a WR 250X. I want the bike to idle the same every time I stop at a traffic light.

I have grown up on dirt bikes, so the geometry and riding stance on the DRZ feel perfectly natural and comfortable to me. The bike height is great for me (5'10") and even for my wife who is shorter. Despite it being a dirt bike, it comfortably takes a passenger without needing to move too far forward. Handling is amazing. Power seems a bit low for a 400cc engine but it has more than enough to safely ride with London traffic. Cheap to maintain and easy to find parts.
