It's a brand new BMW so bear that in mind; but it's hands down the best bike I've ever ridden: superbly comfortable, blisteringly quick, takes 3 x hard luggage for touring, handles and goes like a superbike but the comfort of a tourer. Rode 3,500 miles in a week across Europe in the Summer and would do it again tomorrow. If you can afford it, buy it.

Jump from a panigale tricolour to the BMW only problem is it feels cheap and also looks cheaper than what it is. Lots of fun. Plenty of confidence riding it, the most comfortable bike I've ever ridden (the seat has been covered and got a gel pack fitted) it has all the extras u could want, handle nice at speed but 70mph is not the best in top, pulls well from low down, the quick shifter is sweet as a nut up and down the box, then there's the handle bars, look like some one sprayed them on the street corner, welds are scruffy. But love the bike it just isn't a Ducati finish..

Blooming brilliant! Took a few weeks to acclimatise to after a boxer twin, but once I'd grown used to it there was no going back. Great performance but outstanding handling. Corners on rails! No regrets and would do it again. A lot is written about excessive vibrations on this model. I have no such issues but a cure is to install Evo Tech bar weights into the bars. This negates any excessive vibration and provides protection in the vent of a drop. Superb machine but slightly cramped for tall riders used to the relaxed GS models. Also not as comfrtable over long distances as the GS. The seat is confy but you get numb bum after an hour or two in the saddle.
