I was riding a Ducati Multistrada 1200 S and loved it.. apart from the engine. Pinned and worked hard the MS was a brilliant engine but low down and in town it never seemed to be in the right gear, juddering and hunting around all the time it quickly became a pain. So when BM brought out the S1000XR I was on in a flash, that engine derived from the S1000RR was blisteringly good in all situations. My long term riding mate was on his second RR and could not praise it enough, so much so he lent it to me for a week to try out. That was it.. I was sold.. so easy to ride in all situations, strangely the most impressive for me was how slowly you can ride one in traffic so balanced and well behaved. I find it V comfortable (1.8m and 170lb) my mate is much bigger but is as comfortable as I am. Needless to say it is a quick bike and can be in any gear with such a flexible engine. Riding modes, quickshifter, heated grips, well you can easily look up all the specs, too many to list here. Be careful if you try one out, not because it is scary... its not, it's just that you WILL what one.....

Best bike I've ever ridden. Everything about the bike is awesome. Only 1 fairy important downside is the vibration through the handlebars is terrible. I'm told this will get better after 5k but I've never experienced anything like it on any of my other sports bikes. But if you can put up with this for a while then the bike is just too good!
