“A true workhorse, bought as a commuter and it fits the bill perfectly.
Plus points:
Decent bit of carry space with the dummy tank and it's economical seeing over 80mpg.
Typical Honda solid build quality.
Never thought I'd say it, but DCT makes perfect sense !
For town riding and a low revving engine, no fishing for neutral at the lights, just twist and rip away, in auto it makes the best of the low down torque. In manual it's surprised my mates on sports bikes that it makes for a nippy machine up to 60.
Comfy ride but obviously not a high speed machine.
Servicing is easy and cheap.
Finish has held up well to being outside 24/7 and
Reliability so far has been 100%
Negatives:
Budget suspension is dire on bumpy roads, over sprung underdamped.
The forks don't have enough rebound damping and unless riden smooth the bike runs wide if getting hard on the gas.
Rear Shock is a budget item too and not up to much.
Brakes a little underwhelming for a 200 + kg bike with a single front disk.
Eats tires and chains.
Overall I love this bike, so much so I'll upgrade the forks and shock at some point and improve the handling.”
“I have had to have reconstruction work done on the driver,s seat as the standard seat was
so uncomfortable (expensive) .
The Bike performs well but once warmed up to operating temperature the engine rattles
annoyingly on tick over, EG when at traffic lights etc.”
