I bought a 2017 DCT model as an all year round bike for work and pleasure in October and with a few exceptions have ridden it daily since in all weathers. Generally i do short trips of under 10 miles one way but ride it for work so am knocking up the miles. The AT is overkill really but I test rode one back to back against a BMW 800gs and was so impressed with the AT I bought one. I have done some longer 120 mile round trips including Motorways and Derbyshire b roads and the AT is extremely compitent. All in all I'm really impressed with the bikes power, handing suspension, traction control and stability. i had never ridden a dct bike before and also have a guzzi so didn't think I would be into it but the dct is superb and can be overridden so easily it's unreal. I do have two grumbles the Dunlop's put on as standard are a poor wet weather tyre choice and useless off tarmac. The screen isn't great above 69 mph as it causes loads of buffeting on my helmet. Both are not deal breakers but I will be changing both soon. Role on the lighter nights so I can get some more miles on this baby!

I've had the bike for 14 weeks now and in spite of the cold weather still want to get out and go for a ride .. The bike is quite tall but feels light when it changes direction .. The suspension is plush and soaks up the bumps and is not unsettled during corning by any bumps .. The bars are wide and make the steering feel light .. the instruments are easy to read and give a good amount of information .. The brakes are sharp and fuel consumption for me over 1400 miles is 55 mpg .. The engine has a nice sound and pulls well from 2000 rpm, it has 95 bhp which is fine most of the time but it a few more would be nice once in a while .. The seat is not the best and I have changed this and there is quite a lot of wind buffeting from the screen and head stock area .. I have added a small flip screen on top of the std screen and fitted a cover in the head stock area and this has improved things enormously ..

Amazing allround bike, has sufficient power, fuel efficient sounds and looks amazing. Effortless control through busy traffic in city, stable and planted on motorways. Even for a heavy bike and my limited offroad experience it is easily managable on light off road tracks. Honda could have added more bits to the stock bike instead of asking crazy money for. Only downside I would say is the tubed tires, although I understand this may not be a disadvantage to all.

The AT will tour and cruise easily with high speed comfort and has ample power and torque for any type of riding at law abiding speeds. Wind noise is low with the touring screen and weather protection is very good. The AT has its own definable character and although being an inline twin it does however feel like a V-Twin engine without the vibes although a very slight vibration can be felt at higher revolutions. The exhaust sound is distinctive, especially when engine braking when a quite phut, phut can be heard emitting from it. The suspension and factory settings are very good and so is the braking power. The AT is nimble and responsive with balanced power and despite the thin front wheel it has excellent input when cornering. It is also excellent in heavy traffic and and not tiring to handle. Add all this to its off road ability and you have an excellent adventure bike.
