“Used for commuting and green-laning, overall very happy with the bike for what it is (small capacity learner friendly trail bike) and as long as you don't expect too much from it on the road it will be an excellent first bike. Very reliable, only problems were the rectifier dying (second hand Yamaha item was £20 from eBay) and a random front puncture. The only upgrades that have been done are a sump guard and some hand guards, the stock mirrors have been replaced with cheap Chinese ones as the OEM mirrors are £30 a side and prone to damage (as I found out) when trail riding. The bike is nice and light at around 130kg wet, which makes off roading nice and easy, especially with the smoothness of the motor which will happily chug up rocky inclines in second and third gear. The suspension is basic, with unadjustable Paioli forks and preload only Sachs shock, but this is a trail bike designed for newcomers, not a competition enduro bike - as can be seen in the superb rubber-mounted indicators which remained bright even when splattered with mud. The main downfall with this bike is the fuel capacity (9.5 L) which combined with the lack of any fuel level device and awkward shaped tank, can leave you guessing. However, stay off faster roads and this bike is plenty of fun down lanes and back-roads. If I was going to use this bike purely for green-laning I would fit some bar risers as I am slightly crouched when standing (I am 6'). All in all I would defiantly recommend this bike to newcomers or to more experienced riders who are new to off road riding.”
