“I went with the SV for my 24 month A2 restricted licence due to how cheap it was in comparison to other A2 bikes on the market. The insurance was low, easy to ride, easy to maintain, it regularly got around 130+miles before the fuel light came on, the twin engine sounds great, especially with a Fuel exhaust (highly recommend) getting up to 70/80mph was fine with its low/mid range torque, if I wanted to go beyond that.. ha! There was no dropping gears and disappearing on that thing! It had done 35,000 miles and was mechanically sound, a very reliable engine and bike. However, the Vtwin life wasn't for me, after I passed my full licence I got an inline 4, which I greatly prefer.
Overall I'd give it a 3.5/5.
Fuel and Tax: 4/5
Comfort: 3/5
Reliability: 5/5
Looks: 3/5
Engine: 4/5”
“Don't believe anyone who says this bike doesn't handle. I ride it like I stole it. It's a great bike, I will keep it for ever. You don't need more power; you can rip the throttle open and not have to worry about the back sliding or the front end coming up. 69 hp is enough for anyone.”
