“It's a big'un, it's predictable and it'll get a move on remarkably well. It's a little bland, but then I prefer the sound track and power delivery of a large V-twin. Very comfy for those of a 'proper' height - >2,000 miles in 5 days around Scotland camping. A breezeā¦.”
“I experienced corrosion around the shaft drive and when it went to Triumph for the recall on the engine they replaced the drive. Very good after service.”
“Very pleased with bike although I have had a new clutch and broken shafts it was sorted under warranty very quickly and has been fine since. Just been to Spain on it and it's run great”
“I have had my TRex since 2012, in fact I placed one of the first orders for one in the UK some 8 months before they were built. Reading the specs it ticked all the boxes for what I was looking for in a bike at the time and I really didn't want a GS!!! When it arrived I wasn't disappointed at all. The Explorer handled corners as if it were on rails and it was so comfortable. There was a time when the bikes were being recalled due to some form of engine rattle that some customers complained about. Well I have to say I never once noticed it I can assure you. Anyway I was without my baby for a week and when it was returned there were heaps of modifications to it which didn't cost me anything. For example new manifold pipes for the exhaust new centre stand and I think the discs were replaced. Well the bike rode like a dream.
I don't get to ride it as much now as I commute to work by train for ease, and I actually considered selling the bike or replacing it with a Sunday afternoon sunny day bike..... However having taken it out two days ago I couldn't bring myself to change it she still rides like a dream!!”
