“Heavy at standstill but you soon forget about the weight when it gets moving. Love the feel of the bike and the triple scream when you let loose, good power delivery. Comfort is good I am 6' and not a small person but I could ride all day with no issue. On board tech is good but not intrusive, however would like to be able to choose more options in the display setup, as not each display item can be set of all of the options such as Tyre pressure, MPG, range etc only available to display on some of the three available permanent displays. Electric screen is great alter when riding as rather it down on slow roads but up at high speed so saves stopping when moving from B or A roads to M/ways. BIG issue is only 20 LTR tank why can Triumph not have a 30 LTR like the GSA's ? Panniers need to be moved rearward to accommodate a pillion with comfort, if you have Triumph luggage BUT if you have Givi they are mounted with more thought for the pillion.”
“Despite the claimed 5% decrease in fuel consumption the XCA is actually nearly 10% worse I now average 49 mpg against 54mpg on my last two explorers. That said the suspension is much improved an hence handling feels more "planted" especially at the front. The addition of 2" bar height adjusters have - for me at least - also improved the riding position. Finally the one important item that is missing is a rear wheel hugger. I ride all year round and the amount of crap that is accumulated under seat and especially the back of the exhaust is a real pain when cleaning.”
