A brilliant buy back in 2009 and have never regretted it. It does what the adds say and ticks all the right boxes. Have since 2016 matched it up to a Charnwood sports sidecar and still impressed with the unit. It has now done nearly 56,000 miles!

Does everything it says on the tin and more..bullet proof engine...yamaha,s flagship allways and for ever as far as I am concerned, ten years in my ownership and it's never let me down And i don't think it ever will, should of married it, don't tell the wife though.

The bike is now 12 years old and has completed 133,000 plus miles. It looks a little tatty round the edges, the wheels and diff are somewhat lacking in paint and the forks are pitted. It has been used summer and winter and is my (our) main means of transport . It carries us to Sainsbury's, it carries us to Greece. No fuss, no worries and no failures. It handles the twisting mountain roads with equanimity, loaded or not and can handle the high speed autobahn without fuss. Regularly serviced by the excellent crew at the FJ Owners Club at Cromhall with the only bit of TLC that I apply is to change the oil at half the recommended interval. A great bike.

Bought new in 2001 for £8999. 43k miles and it has never missed a beat. Very quick and holds it's own with sports bikes when ridden hard but comfy enough for a two up round trip to Istanbul. The only problems I've had have been with the aftermarket alarm system that the insurance companies insist on

Excellent sports tourer capable of anything you want to throw its way. Two up , fully laden luggage for camping and touring the FJR still eats it all up with no problem. I have nothing but praise for these bikes. Just wish I'd discovered them years ago. Best all round bike Ive ever owned in the 40 years of biking ive had so far. Plenty of power on tap, great torque, good high mileage 300,000 miles plus engines. Just keep them serviced well and look after the FJR , it will always look after you in all weathers or any distance.
