“I've been riding bikes for almost 50 years without a break and have had some really great bikes (and some not so good!) and my MT-07 is giving me more pleasure than any before. More than enough power (great power/weight ratio), superb handling, extremely lightweight, very comfortable, great engine etc. I have probably done more miles on this in 18 months than I rode in the previous 4 years, I just want to ride it every chance I get. It is my first unfaired bike for many years and I wasn't sure if I would miss a fairing too much. Not a problem, I fitted an Ermax screen and don't miss a fairing one bit. Buying my MT-07 is the best biking decision I've ever made.”
“I bought this bike to replace my Honda CBF 600, which had become too heavy for my liking.
The Yamaha feels more like a trials bike, light and easier to handle. Two up we feel the bumps more because it has less mass. I miss the silky smooth 4cylinder Honda engine, the two cylinder Yamaha feels a bit like a V twin. Having said this it still has bags of pull, but delivered in a less sophisticated way. One up more fun than the Honda, two up not. To sum up good for old farts because of its light weight and ease of riding, but lacking in refinement.”
“My first bike so can't really compare it to anything apart from the 125 I rode for a year before doing the DA course. Was impressed by the reviews about the MT07 and my local dealer had one in at the time I was looking so I bought it. Love it. Love the torque with loads of power available in any gear. Great beginners bike for me. Very happy new biker at 49 and a half years old!! :)”
“Really happy with this bike. I bought it to replace the Hornet I'd had for 12 years. Once used to it, I've found it comfortable and maneuverable. It's also good for my shorter leg length as I'm 5' 4".”
