The bike is more than up to the job for town work and speeds up to 55mph, but it is not fast enough for motorways, the manufacturers manual states the max. speed is equal to or greater than 90kph, (56mph), but given the right conditions it will eventually reach the low 60's. the engine is very perky and revs willingly, acceleration being very good once out of the very short 1st gear(8mph),2nd, 3rd and 4th gears are very responsive, the bike is very good in the hills, 5th gear is okay on very flat level roads but struggles with the slightest of rises. Fuel consumption is consistently 95mpg. I brim the tank and zero the trip meter every time I fill up and have done so for the last 3 years, I weigh 70kg in riding gear and ride purposefully, not looking for fuel economy. The tyres are ok in the dry but not confidence inspiring in the wet especially the rear which feels as though it has poor grip and on the point of slipping, but has improved a little as the tyres profile has altered with use over time. The front disc brake is good, the rear drum could be better, used together they work well enough. I keep the bike indoors and it is still in good condition at just over 5years old, I clean and polish it with furniture spray weekly and change the oil every 3000 km. I would recommend the bike as a second hand purchase if one could be found at the right price in the right condition.

A cheap 125 to get me on the road. You get what you pay for and this one was three years old with a reasonable millage. A bit bouncy on the swinging arm and rear drum brake is a bit clunky but cheap, cheerful and happily clock up 150 miles on a day out with no worries. Suspension could be better and takes a while to warm up when started but gears fine, brakes adequate as you can only get 65 max downhill with a following wind and a long run at it, Overall fine if it is a stepping stone to a bigger bike and will give you experience and confidence and a bigger bike is so much smoother it will be a doddle
