A comfy, capable and reasonably priced 1st big bike in my case. Parts are readily available on auction sites and servicing is something you can undertake with beginner level skills. A comfy ride and yet reassuringly agile and powerful enough for long trips. A bit on the heavy side but it is 25 years old, so no carbon fibre here. I thought the insurance was very reasonable for my 1st foray into big bikes, I know it would be way higher on the gsx750r so, shop carefully when you buy your bike and compare differences between full on sports bike and a sports tourer I.e parts, servicing and insurance etc.

fantastic value people don t like the style calling it a teapot or baboon arse with the rear light it may be bland in some eyes but i think there are worse styles out there a 98 model only paid £680 2014 it has a debaffled can so it is loud . i use it for commuting id have another one with less miles road holding is good i have avons on there are good enough for me oil changes are easier enough spark plugs need a bit more time due to the fairing the engine may not be a gxr . a softer state of tune is not a bad thing in the real world .

Cannot fault the old girl. She has done about 68,000 miles around the UK and several, and I mean several, trips into Europe. I think the furthest was to Croatia and Slovinia. Been up the Alps the Black Forest and a whole load of great places. I have no fear as to the handling and performance of the bike as I know how she reacts under most conditions.

This bike is great, it's comfy and handles all. It's not a sports bike but it is more than capable, it has the de tuned GSXR750 engine. It's a forgiving bike and ideal for new riders and is also a roomy bike too. It is a bit on the heavy side but it's not that hard to get used to, I have Giving rack on it plus a tank bag so I'm looking for going touring on it in the summer. I love this bike and I dare anyone not too.

I paid under a grand for this bike three years ago apart from tyres and bulb and servicing i havnt had any problems with the bike i use it for commuting short and long journeys it averages 39mpg but i dont ride it hard being 750cc it has a good range on the engine power from low end torque to good motorway power.
