Suzuki in there history have built many great machines, and won many Championships,GP,Endurance and Road Racing.I have ridden many different machines in my time and own a few,not just Suzuki.I have in my time raced a few, with the new crop of Superbikes most now coming with over 200bhp but weigh in at well over 200 kiloes,my K6 weighs in at less than 169kiloes and with 186bhp power to weight and agility is still in a class of its own.Being of the older generation and should know better,i can ride it till the tank is empty fill it and keep going all day long comes from there endurance wins so is comfy.Still the lightest Production Machine ever built,The new Honda RCV a bike built by HRC and weighing apparently in the region of 170 Kiloes is in that ball park, but i should imagine these will not be cheap, wonderful engineering the last time HRC built a road going machine was RVF 1000 SP1/2. Still back to the K6, the engine is epic Suzuki built this with one thing in mind and some race worthy components as standard. The brakes are worth looking at braided lines are a must, brake pads i have tried many and in my opion the Vesra sintered pad is the best all round pad road or track. After that set the bike up for your size and weight.Tyres, well Pirellies work the best Bruce Ansty and the boys who rode these on the Island seem to make it work "Respect". To sum up then Suzuki K6 1000 has Beauty Form and Function and Power to Weight and is a lot of bike for the money, and is truly one of the Great Suzuki's GSXR's ever built. The other one is the 750 GSXR but thats another story. .

Great bike, good predictable handling, very good torque and power delivery, a pleasure to ride and good on fuel too ! Really don't feel the need to change it yet as still a solid litre bike even after 11 years !!

A little too fast if truth be told, it is very easy to blip the throttle and put yourself into trouble.

Had the bike for 4 years now and it still scares the s*#t or of me. It's a very forgiving bike, if you go into a bend a bit on the fast side, and leaves BMW1000rr for dust.
