Bought my '13 reg Inazuma 2nd hand 2yrs ago for under £2k, and have put c.10k mls on it so far. Bike is great value and meets my needs admirably - which is legal-speeds work and leisure trips (mainly rural single-carriageway), including one fully-laden camping tour each year. Keeps up with/overtakes traffic no problem, has plenty low-end grunt for relaxed touring - and the limited power helps self-control and prevent me getting into trouble (this is my 1st road bike). Definitely recommend replacing the 14T sproket for a 15T to make 1st more useful and 6th less buzzy. Totally reliable and easy - if frequent - DIY servicing, with one Suzuki safety recall (brakelight switch). No plans to replace it ...... although the imminent successor V-Strom 250 could suit me even better.

Power delivery a bit agricultural.Mirrors poor,extensions have improved,otherwise, a good steady workhorse.

Great bike for economy and commuting, but it lacks power in lower gears. But for someone new starting out on bikes its a full size bike so has road pressence and handles great.

Probably the best commuter bike you can buy. Reliable, economical, and cheap to run. I get 83-84mpg weekly doing 32 mile a day but I don't thrash the life out of it and the majority of my journey is in built up 30mph zones. Costing me approx 9-10pounds per week in fuel. What more does anybody want from a smallish bike. Very highly recommend by me.

Very well balanced good looking bike. Many people are surprised when I tell them it is a 250. Would ,( and have ), recommend the Inazuma to any one who is interested.

The Inazuma is a strange bike. Judging by the fact that I have only ever seen one other Inazuma on my travels says a lot. No one really likes it. The thing is, it is a tool for a job, not a status symbol. It is quite simply a commuting bike and nothing more, and it does that really, really well. I have used my Inazuma for almost 2 years, 4 days a week 20 mile round trip, all year round, rain and sleet, frost and sun and it never lets me down. It may not accelerate like a racer and may not have a blinding top speed, but riding city streets and residential roads, I am nearly always doing 30-40mph anyway. It is amusing to remember how many appreciative glances, smiles and conversations I used to have about my old bike (a Triumph Bonneville), now I am practically invisible. The Inazuma has only ever been spoken about once when someone mistook it for a 500cc, but it was standing still at the time. It does look like a bigger bike, but does not move like one. The thing is, on my Bonnie I was putting in £12 a week in petrol, now my Inazuma gives me just over 2 weeks commuting for the same money. The only negative I read about before buying my bike, was the servicing costs. And this is probably true if you get it serviced everytime the manual tells you. I'll service mine once a year, or when I can next afford it, so no different from when I would normally service my bike. Hopefully, just being a careful rider will keep the bike rolling for years to come, as I do not think for a minute this bike will have any re-sale value at all and I will be the one and only owner. Which is fine by me - I love it.
