great bike for the money you can buy them for. Fast as u ever want to go.Bit heavy on wrists at lower speeds, hence bar risers popular. Also a common alternator problem £40 part +2-4 hours labour to fix.smooth power and easy to ride, Can scare yourself if you want to though. Well worth the money.

Very underrated bike. The engine is a gem. Loads of torque everywhere. Very economical even cruising 90+ and having a play find 40mpg is very attainable. A lot of bike for the money. Will surprise many new bikes and made even better with choice mods.

My RF900 still rides like new. It has only covered 17k miles which is nothing but there is no getting away from the fact that the bike is 22 years old. Other than a yearly service which has been carried out regardless of how many miles it has covered in any 1 year, the bike has only just needed to have the chain and sprockets replaced along with the battery. The RF900 is starting to increase in value now which is great.

My third RF. Performs like a fire blade, cheap and good looking. A bit tough on the wrists, but all in all, a superb all rounder.

A wonderful and much underrated machine. Yes, it's a bit dated, but I like its style, and fuel consumption is a bonus; I almost always manage 58mpg from fill-up to fill-up. incredible when considering rate of progress, if I can put it like that. I could do with having the suspension modified to suit my (light) weight as it is a bit solid on poor surfaces, though it is fine on A roads. The only other minus worth mentioning is the engine noise, which is an issue only at tick-over speed. When opened up it is much quieter. Perhaps the carbs need to be balanced.
