“Good bike with big V-Twin grunt - I fitted a power commander - K+N filter and Carbon Can Co end cans to give it a bit extra - sounds awesome. Only downside is bike has so much torque that a missed gear (4th instead of 2nd) resulted in a smashed cog and a £1,300 bill for the engine taking out and gearbox replacing.”
“Yes, you can spend a lot of money and get a Ducatti or an Aprillia that are awesome 1000cc twins, or you can go for a screaming 4 cylinder bike which will be a wee bit more economical (does that really matter?), but it's simple, no bike has given me a bigger grin than my SV. I go into the garage, I push the button, the bike starts, no hassles. The ride is comfortable, but still a bit sporty. The bike has performance that totally eclipses my ability as a rider, so no hassles there either and when I'm blasting up through the highlands at 60mph :)... the engine sounds fantastic. It looks great, sounds great, drives great.... What else could you want from a bike!
