It's a great return to biking for an old codger like me, but is physically a little on the small side for me to contemplate long rides on it, but that's not the Bike fault! I will replace it with a classic GS1000 Suzuki in due course, but I have nothing but praise for the SV, and would recommend it to anyone looking for an easy to live with fun bike unless they were 6ft or over.

A great little bike, fun to ride, gives Ducati 660s a test, front suspension needs to be a bit more tuneable, good on the country lanes, great wheelie bike.

Good first proper motorbike with 47bhp throttle restrictor.. buyt it doesn't affect anything except high end revs, which tbh you dont really need.. can get out of trouble very easily, and a little twist and you can give it some, with the throttle restrictor the front end nearly always stays down so you can accidentally kill yourself. Smooth and comfortable round corners. Good chunky tyres.. Good around bike.

This bike is incredibly forgiving the only issue I ever had was it was physically to small for me.

Great no frills economical bike for round town use, with plenty of acceleration and nippy in traffic.

I bought my SV650 new ten years ago and it was the best thing I ever bought. It is great for town or rural use, easy to handle, wonderful V-twin engine, plenty of torque. I have ridden faster and larger bikes, but this remains my favourite and perfect all-rounder choice.
