“very easy to ride, very forgiving if your gear selection isn't great, pulls all the way through the rev range with no suprises, had it for 2 years and it's been faultless, still a head turner, maybe the tri-oval can noise has something to do with that!. I returned to bikes after 10 year absence and my SV was a perfect choice. seat height not as low as I remember and I struggle with it somewhat. I use it for touring and she will sit at 70mph all day, occasionally I will go for a blast on it and keeping it in high revs it's a different animal and will compete with some 4 cylinder 600's. its cheap to insure and run, i get 50+ mpg all the time no matter how I ride. 58mpg best figure so far. very happy with it, but has wetted my appitite for bigger n better”
“At aged 70 and having missed riding for a year needed something smaller and lighter than a R1100S. Having spinal problems meant a bike that you could ride with a straight back. SV seemed to answer the problem nicely. Good bike, comfortable and goes over 200miles on a tankful. Only problem is that now I'm back riding with confidence I really need a bigger bike, in terms of cc!”
