“Well worth the cash - either new or used. A proper sporty ride for a budget machine. Maybe a little on the small side for anyone 6', but I've never had any real issues.”
“I can honestly say that this is best first big bike I could have ever bought. The bike has great handling, is very comfortable on long journeys, has smooth transistion and is quite economical, oh and can keep up with bigger bikes in the short run! I have been on 3 eurotrips and this bike has never let me down. The only slightly negative comment I could possibly make is that the brakes could be a bit better, however, for the power of the bike it is adequate. When buying my first big bike it was out of this and the fazer and I choose the SV as I think that it looks better.”
“It has been a fun and enjoyable ride from the beginning. There's never been a problem with taking off, as it has plenty of torque (catch me if you can). Love it!”
“For my first big bike, I couldn't be happier. It has plenty of power without being over the top. Easy to handle to. And I just love the sound of the v-twin when higher up in revs. The only thing im not keen on is how hot the engine gets while at traffic lights or in slow moving traffic. But overall, the ideal first bike.”
“its a fairly good type of bike to own and ride
the v twin has its own sound unlike the inline 4's
loads of torque but not a high top speed .
classed as a sport tourer its easy on your back and neck ..
in all i enjoy riding the sv650 everytime i get it out the garage (which is 5 days a week)
comfy after my 200/250 mile rides on a sunday .
only down fall i find is the fuel dont last long . about 125 miles to a tank ...
