“Faultless...baring two punctures. Superb on the Spanish mountain twisties and the long flat plains, perfect for what I needed. So good I bought another brand new 2016 SE version.”
“This is my first proper motorcycle and having done extensive research before buying this bike I have not been disappointed in any aspect of the machine. My first long ride was to Aberystwyth and back from Hull in a day with a pillion. Apart from the weather and fuel stops being shut in Wales on a Sunday evening the ride was a joy.”
“Heated grips, centre stand, gear indicator and trip/fuel/speed all make using and cleaning easy. Good performance and excellent fuel consumption, around 60 mpg. Handling good if a little heavy but stable and low speed manouvers easy enough. Value for money pretty good, accessories all add upthough. While not in a class of one the GT does a good job of being comfortable, frugal but also sporty enough if the chance to motor on becomes available.”
“fell in love with this bike when I first heard it! It's a very tucked in position when riding which makes for great comfort for the feet, no scrabbling around in big boots looking for gears and brakes.....they're just....there. The bikes pretty much everything one could expect to find in a modern bike. Bmw service team and after care is really good. I'm a five six female and I have a low profile seat fitted as I like my feet truly on the ground when stationary or manoeuvring, this has the added benefit of giving me a cosy seat in front of the electrics hub (tank). Some folk don't like that the petrol cap is not on the tank. I couldn't care less. If your a great big guy this bike will feel small to you. I however love it and if you a woman lookin to step up from the 600/650 this model is your baby! It's smooth, relatively quiet and cuts a head turning dash wear ever you take her. The power is subtle in application but definitely there when you need it. Heated grips useful but more effective with heated gloves or the temptation is to grip too hard. Got the Bmw boots, jacket and pants to use on this bike and their water performance is brilliant. But the sizes are snug, so beware. Cannot fault the boots. The trousers though from the women's range are pretty much boy cut so essentially too short in the crutch but otherwise good. The jacket styling is top notch but neck is a little restrictive. For fabric garments I thought they were a bit pricey. Corners lovely brakes reall sharp so subtlety is required at all times unless you want to launch yourself somewhere! The thing I really like is the intelligent ride. Don't have to be a weight lifter to ride it but if your really tiny the frame might intimidate a bit. You fo kind of feel your at the helm of a big beautiful bike/ship. If your thinking of taking a look it's worth going to see/ride one. You'll know right away if it's for you.....enjoy.”
