I always wanted a TL1000 S in the 90's but never got round to buying one! In 2014 I decided to buy one before I got too old and I also noticed that the price of clean, original, low mileage TL's was starting to climb. After much searching, I found an early, full power gem! After a full service, I took the TL up to Scotland and covered 750 miles in three days. I found the bike to be a pleasure to ride, the handling and brakes are superb and the engine is fantastic. The big twin is a lazy riders dream and is very flexible at both low and high speeds. The riding position is good but I did have to buy a double bubble screen, I am over 6 feet tall and was unable to see the speedo with the original fitted. If you are wanting a cool, powerful retro motorbike that is going to increase in value in the future, then the TL may be the bike for you.

The Bike is great always wanted one and I'm not disappointed at all, the v twin sounds great and delivers when I need it. I will not be getting rid of my TL for a long time.

Replaced an SV650S with its bigger counterpart, and having clocked up around 220,000miles between the 2 bikes, I lack any desire to own anything other than Suzuki's v twin series of bikes and engines. If you want lots of power, and big numbers to brag about in the pub, look elsewhere, It's not a bike for out and out speed, but has a personality. I find It handling quirky, and makes a grin appear every time, but it's not for the faint hearted. If you accept that you are not the next Valentino, and you don't have to have the latest kit, I would recommend this bike to anyone that doesn't like "normal"!

Lot of bike for the cash, Treat it with a bit of respect and you wont go wrong. Much more fun than most other twins. VTR, 996 and ST4s.
