“Great winter hack bike. Under-stressed engine seems unburstable. 60+ to the gallon. Easy to handle on road and off road. Nicely balanced and a doddle to footpeg-steer. For 1400 quid for a 12 year old bike with much less than 50K on the clock, it's a great bike and a huge bargain.”
“Very good all round bike for commuting or putting pillion on. Not much of a thrill seeking bike though. Very torqy engine which is great for lower speed getting about but don't expect a race machine. What is best about this bike is that it doesn't matter what the road surface is like, you can get anywhere with it with decent tyres and skill. The single cylinder Rotax engine isn't the best sounding but chugs along to the tune of at least 80mpg. Parts for BMW's are overly expensive and tricky to get hold of but it doesn't need them often. The electrics are solider than the Aprilia in my opinion but more faffy than I'd usually choose (it won't start if it's in first gear even if you hold the clutch in). The heated grips are very nice however. The tank is under the seat which makes the steering incredibly light and very enjoyable when you get used to it. In high winds however this bike is really bad, I presume due to the overall lightness of the steering and positioning of the plastics?.”
