The bike when i first bought run perfectly but i was one of the lucky ones cause none of them where built correctly and had numerous problems but the real issue getting parts to repair and keep the bike on the road for that reason avoid buying a sym in the uk any make or any model.

Its a great scooter for beginers, steady on the road, good stock tires, relaible brakes and engine that starts in any weather. It has good acceleration up to 40 mph with max speed about 50 mph, and good on fuel. I have had a few Taiwaneese scooters in the past from SYM and KYMCO and have been always happy with their quality and looks. Moreover, I believe they offer the best value scooters for the money you pay. The only negative points I could find about my SYM Symphony SR 125 are: stiff suspension (to my liking), small tank ~1 gallon (which is still enough for about 80-100 miles) and a small underseat storage (but my full-face helmet Frank Thomas L size fits in it whereas many other full-face helmets, that I tried don't). I would recommend this scooter for someone who wants a reliable, sporty-looking and not expensive, small 125cc scooter for riding in town.

This is a nippy little scooter suitable for travelling around town and commuting. But I wouldn't recommend it for touring not with a top speed of around 50mph (not wishing to flog it). Suspension is good but it does feel every bump in the road - and on Bristol's roads that means a good shake up! However, I am a little disappointed at the fuel consumption which, coupled with a fairly small fuel tank, means frequent stops for refilling. And why is speed (and distance) recorded in kilometers? But it's a good ride, reliable, smart-looking, starts easy and needs little maintenance. So, the Sym Symphany suits me for what I use it for i.e. occasional use.
