Great versatile bike, use it to commute, blast on an A road or motorway it can do it all. Lack a bit of character and average reliability are it’s main drawback

Loads of problems since day 1. Wouldn't ever buy a BMW again and would never advise anyone else to either. Bloody Germans!

Shame about the off switch for the indicators, I'm really pleased with the rest of it

Was quite satisfied at first..nice style riding etc But it has developed an oil and water leak which is coming from the heat exchanger Having removed all the necessary side panels , fairing etc ,I was very disappointed to find all bolts and screws etc are very very rusty and corroded So badly corroded that one of the heat exchanger bolts broke of ,and I was unable to remove the broken bolt I had to purchase a new heat exchanger housing at £100 Also inside the heat exchanger hosing it was terribly corroded SO NOT AT ALL HAPPY

I am the 4th owner for this bike. The previous 3 have been a bit lax about the engine paint maintenance and it is flaking off quite badly, especially on the sump pan, but also on the alloy wheels. The gearbox is a little clunky and there are a couple of false neutrals between the gears if you are not firm with the gear pedal. Those niggles aside, I love the bike. It accelerates very quickly for a parallel twin. It far prefers to be going quick as it is a little rough edging between traffic lights and around town. I really enjoy not having to maintain a chain since it has a belt drive. I commute 60 miles a day on the bike and it is very comfortable to use that often. I bought this bike after a 10 year break from 2 wheels. It is my first BMW but given my experience so far it won't be my last.

Bery good Bike, but seating position is a little too high even with the lowered seat option fitted.
