“Yes it's heavy before you set off, and yes you must be aware of longer stopping distances due to it's weight, but this bike is a pleasure to ride solo or with a pillion. Tyre manufacturers should think about the gross weight/speed potential of this bike (two up and loaded) before rating their rubber,,,they all seem to be rated too low but are recommended for the bike! My wife and I have toured Wales, Ireland, Scotland and the Isle of Man without the bike missing a beat. The difference about this bike though is that it's a real head turner, especially for those who have no idea about bikes! I regularly find people taking photos of my bike and they are always surprised when they hear the engine size and that it really is British. Owning a rocket also brings respect from the vast majority of bikers whether they see the bike or hear what I ride. If the fuel economy was improved with a sixth gear or overdrive and cruise control fitted as standard, this bike would be more popular with the European touring set...but we're going anyway!”
