“Only marked slightly down on comfort as its physically not the biggest bike and I am a large rider. The brakes are simply superb and it really is a lovely machine just wish like bicycles, motorcycles came in different sizes depending on the riders height!”
“A great bike, all I really need.
Plenty of performance and comfort.
No fairing, so I keep the speeds down, but plenty fast enough for me when needed.
Easy to work on, and second hand spares plentiful.
A pleasure to own.”
“A thoroughly enjoyable ride once it's been tamed. I switched from a very forgiving bandit 650 to the triple, and it really needs giving some respect.
Long rides, short rides or commuting, it's always fun and never fails to turn heads.”
“Some bikes might be faster, some comfier, some better handling but you won't find any one bike built before 2005 that does them all as well as this one. Doubt I'll ever sell it.”
“Having owned a few big bore bikes 1000 fazer, fz1. two cb1000r's I found the speed triple the one you had to show the most respect for and I would advise a inexperienced rider to possibly buy the cb1000r as you can ride it like a 125, but the triple has so much torque at low revs that a slight twitch on the throttle at the wrong time will see you on the tarmac but for an experienced rider its great fun and is by far the best quality of my 4 previous bikes but for fucks sakes watch the white lines, drain covers and accelerating out of bends,.”
“very pleased with my speed triple took it over to Germany in july comfort great love the torque handles well brakes awsome build quality exellent can,t fault it and to top it all its British nice one Triumph !!!”
“Absolutely love my S3. The full arrow system sounds the nuts, popping and banging on the over run. Love the looks, finish everything about it. Definitely a keeper, even when I get a new bike.”
