“Having just passed my test i wanted a "starter" bike. I found it enough to give you confidence it will do what you want to do.
Stylish to the eye, comfort is amazing with the upright riding position you endure no fatigue after a couple of hours ride out.
As a 1st bike i would highly recommend it.”
“I got this as my first bike because I was looking for something to suit a tall rider which would be novice friendly. So far it has delivered, when I first started riding it after passing my test (on a bandit) it felt weird being so light in the steering however you quickly get used to that. Its a single cylinder so sounds different too but agin you quickly get used to it. The fuel economy is excellent, it's comfortable and agile. It's not the fastest but capable of keeping up with everything I've been out with. It's a great commuter but perhaps not sporty enough for some. I haven't taken it off road or even on a mild trail so I'm not using it for what it was intended I guess but I'm more than happy with it and would recommend it to others”
“As a first bike upon passing my test the bike is very well balanced and is able to be ridden with confidence.
It looks great with its upright seating position so longer journeys are a breeze, the same can be said for running around the doors.
Overall it is a quality bike with everything you need to start biking.
Definitely recommend to any novice/intermediate rider.”
“I bought the bike to travel the north coast of France but in the end circumnavigated France popping into Geneva, Italy and Spain passing through Anddora.
Fully loaded I was getting in the region of 78 mpg which was great as one fuel stop daily except for one day where I covered over 300 miles.
I did have an aftermarket seat for comfort and the bike was heavy for such a long 3 week tour. I have bought a 1200 now as I wish to feel at ease with the bike, not wondering whether it will make it. I would suggest the 650 is for short tours get somewhere and ride from there, move on and do the same.
Did not take it off road but unloaded it would do anything with ease, I know this as I used to ride enduro.
A very comfortable bike to ride and very capable, good mpg with cruising at 60-70 mph (100-115kph)”
“Handles brilliantly, new to keep revs up cornering but otherwise a good all round mini tourer. Any criticism is I wish the fuel tank had a slightly longer range.”
