“i really enjoy my speedmaster, being only 5ft 6in tall it fits me perfectly. If you do a lot of riding with a pillion get the triumph America instead.
There's not to much shiny stuff to worry about.
It's has enough power and pace and handles well enough for a cruiser and sounds great witha set of TOR pipes.”
“My Triumph speed master 790. Twin cylinder 2004 is the foot forward version of the bonnivill. A bit more stylish to look at. and ideal for the cruiser look. the bike has a raked out front end .so not really a knee down fast bend bike .not the most powerful engine but pulls well in all gears twin discs at the front slow things down well when required .and Mid 50s mpg most of the time unless you scream it everywhere but that's not what it's about. its a more laid back ride ideal for that sunny day cruise to the seaside or country lanes. I've had mine 12 years and apart from a one off fueling issue never let me down”
“I love my Speedmaster. But the stock seat and rear suspension are absolutely awful. Not sure how Triumph can make a bike so uncomfortable. I immediately changed the stock seat to the Triumph America, which fits perfectly. That in itself was a great move. I am now in process of getting the rear shocks replaced. Other than that, it is a great bike. Pity it could not have come off the production line like that. The only reason I rated value for money poor is because I should not have to pay extra to get the bike where it should be.”
