Fabulous ride, love it. Had it 4 years from new and after 21000 miles it's still going like a dream!

I bought the GT for two up touring long distance . It performs this task very well .There are a few things I would like eg Digital speedometer, able to change from KPH to MPH and a gear indicator. Headlight adjuster operable when on the bike .Heated grips that work. Much cheaper servicing with longer gaps for valve adjustment. Adjustable handlebars and footrests. Not good that triumph knocked the price down by £1000 after I bought the bike.

Does what it says it on the tin. got my wife and i to Austria and back with no problems except for a puncture outside Antwerp which was not the bikes fault. carried all our gear with no hassles All in all a very good bike.

I was miss sold this bike by a ill informed salesman, after I took out a sprint ST on a test run and was overjoyed with it, I was about to buy it and we was talking about pillion ( girlfriend ) comfort. The salesman said well why not buy this sprint GT instead, its exactly the same engine, performance etc, its only a little longer but the seating is more comfortable for the other half, so without going for a spin on it I bought it there and then, never listen to a salesman, first and last time I ever do that. The sprint GT compared to the sprint ST, this bike is a total world apart, performance slower, a lot heavier, wider, longer, slower on cornering, buffers like mad at 120 on bends when you have the top box on, takes all day to reach 149 but the girlfriend loves it, shame she doesn't ride it. As a grand tourer its lovely, if that's your thing, a little top heavy at times but a good machine, but for people who still get enjoyment from sports bikes, steer clear. It is seriously slow. I am going to keep hold of it mainly for her indoors on sunny days out. Its took me 2 years now to save up enough money and I now bought a 2008 fireblade to compensate, and that really does put a smile back on my face. I do believe if i never listened to that salesman on that day, I would have just bought the sprint ST which is what I was looking at in the first place, a bike with the performance if ridden correctly to keep up with almost anything and anybody, and I really enjoyed putting it through its paces on that test ride 2 years ago before I bought the Gt. Also the ST is good for both touring and sports riding and I would not be the proud owner of a fireblade now, which I cannot really afford to have 2 bikes, truth be known. Well you did ask my opinion.

Good bike for trips, not so easy round town. I have improved braking performance with sintered pads. Aftermarket Trident exhaust and boost plug have produced smoother, softer and more powerful throttle response. Seat is not the most comfortable, not enough load spread. Custom seat ordered. Why is the adaptor socket not a standard plug in size?.
