“Fabulous bike , comfortable, reasonably quick , with Zard aftermarket silencer and k&n filter sounds good (to me), 4.5k on it last year didn't miss a beat, Head lights are terrible if not dangerous! Had to fit LED spot lights to help see at night !!!. Plan to keep it till I can no longer ride, what more can I say.”
“They are very anarchy on the throttle. Some play about with the mapping to try and sort it. rear Suspension is very poor.
Brakes are mediocre even with sintered pads.
Feet get sprayed when it rains. Terrible wind blast with normal screen. You need to go small so it hits the chest.
On long runs when getting tired airflow tries to push legs apart
Maybe I've been spoilt by hap sports bikes for last 25 years.”
“The 2008 Tiger I had was a great bike - engine was lovely and smooth, torquey yet quiet. Often used as my first choice bike (I have more than 1) it's huge Achillies Heel is the gearbox - it's very clunky and agricultural. Bang on chain adjustment helps but it's never good and lasts only a short time. Values seem to be dropping quickly now...
I have since replaced it with a 2010 Multistrada - the new Tiger Sport was much improved but nothing comes close to the refinement, performance, quality and value of the MTS.”
“With being over 6ft I need a good size bike. Easy to work on. Great torque. Had the bike for nearly 2 1/2 years, ready for a change if I had the money. I use it to commute to work and back all weathers except Ice/Snow.”
