“Fuel consumption far better than expected, worst 49mpg best 62mpg. This is a great all rounder, commute it, tour it, have fun with it. I've been riding too many years to admit too having all sorts except but supersports bikes and I think this one will see me through now.... until the next £ windfall :-)”
“This bike is a good all round bundle, when I first obtained the bike it had a constant bounce on the front end that could be felt through the handle bars, it was resolved to a degree by the Yamaha Dealer. I have also had a problem with the fuel as at around 4K RPM the bike seems to run a little too weak on the mixture and you can feel the bike very slightly accelerate and decelerate around the 4K RPM of the engine. This I was told was due to the emissions controls placed on the bikes and would be sorted at the next service, which I have not yet had at 6K. It also seems to be a little under powered for an 800 cc engine as my sons Yamaha 600cc Diversion does accelerate away a little faster than my Fazer which is a little annoying as you will understand but it pulls well up hill. But overall a good bike for the money. It handles well and likes going around corners, it also carries a pillion well as my wife and I are comparing it to my last bike which was a Yamaha XJR 13OO”
