“Bought mine as a CatD, had been an S, now naked. Previous owner replaced forks & brakes with R1 so better stoppers. Also replaced the heavy can with one off a S1000RR so it's LOUD - great in London as wandering pedestrians with headphones can hear you coming!
Love the 'bike - relatively benign at low revs so fine as for commuting but all hell breaks loose when it gets above 5-6,000 rpm. I also have a Fireblade and this feels as quick and a lot easier to ride as it's a more upright riding position - sports bikes make lousy commuters! Fit and finish good - mine's a 08, lives outside under a cover and very little evidence of corrosion anywhere.
