Incredibly low fuel consumption, reliable and sturdy, my Special 1994 model was bought for 400 euros in Spain, came slightly modded cafe racer style, and I spent 400 more to fix it and revert part of the modding to pass the local MOT and a few other fixes. I loved it there and shipped it to London when I relocated permanently 2 years ago and it has basically never failed me. I've started modding it to convert it again into a real cafe racer lately and it's such an easy and practical bike to work on.
I wouldn't race it anyway... and that's not the point of this bike at all. It gets flimsy at high speed and can't corner very well, but it might also be the old tyres...
250cc fits me perfectly, I would never go over 400 unless I get some dream old bike...”
